Wiki jacking

Posted by admin on August 19th, 2007 filed in Offtopic

Not sure why SEOs and other tech bloggers lately “freak out” about the “Wiki jacking“. It’s a common and definitely old trick to use trusted domains in order to mess up the Google SERPs. Besides Wiki there is:

-  Youtube or any other of Google’s vertical Portals

- Linkedin / Xing

- Zoominfo

- WordPress / Blogspot / Blogger or any other trusted blog software

- A million other sites, that allow you to create a personal page (universities, myspace, high5….)

I don’t want to call SEO dead, but I kind of agree with Marshall over at Webmetricsguru. It’s time to get new faces on the podium.
