Mint - community webanalytics

Posted by admin on March 11th, 2007 filed in Other webanalytic software
Mint webanalytics Mint 2 doesn’t need to promote it’s Web 2.0 capability. It lives it.

Another great approach to compete with Google analytics and other webanalytics tools.

Develop your own tool, design it well and use the wisdom of the crowds.

Mint 2 is a $30 one-time fee webanalytics solution, based on php that runs on the users server.

Besides the commontracking functionalities, Mint has a large amount of interesting extensions.

What I especially like is it’s Page flagging functionality. It let’s you flag specific pages for later review.

I am not sure how often I checked data in the UI, saw an issue, but moved on to pull more data.

Another great feature and name is Mint’s Bird Feeder. The bird feeder reveals feed subscription

patterns for the past week, month and year as well as click-through from individual feed items.

Last feature I really enjoy is the changeable style templates. I would love to work with a

chocolate style Omniture than looking day by day in the same interface.

Overall Mint shows that even webanalytics software can be developed by the crowd.

The Mint developer forum is a great approach to keep this tool competitve and adjustable

to the users needs. I am happy to see software like Mint evolving. The story about Mind

reminds me somehow of the popular and free forums software phpbb.
