Webanalytics expert = conversion x 1.25

Megan Burns at Forrester Research published a new 12 page study about the “Business case webanalytics”. The conclusion that Forrester draws is, that the employment of a full-time webanalytics professional can result in conversion rates about 25 percent higher than those who don’t have a webanalytics tool and expert in place.

Forrester interviewed 15 vendor and user companies, including: Coremetrics, ExactTarget, FedEx, Fujitsu Computer Systems, La Quinta, The New York Times Company, Offermatica, Omniture, Stratigent, Sun Microsystems, Verizon Wireless, Visual Sciences, WebSideStory, WebTrends, and ZAAZ.

The study doesn’t really surprise me, but a big thanks to Megan an her team to make 1000′s of (frustrated) webanalytics experts happy! Now it is proven: Webanalytics experts are one of the key components for a successful online business.
