This morning I finally finished Pip Coburn’s book: “The Change Function“. Pip writes “why some technologies take off and others crash and burn”.
Here some good parts:
“Earthlings like having learned but rarely enjoy the process of learning. Great teachers are able to make the learning process less scary”
“According to Geik, “Much of life has become a game show, our fingers perpetually poised above the buzzer,” and he notes that people routinely press already lit elevator butoons in their frustration of losing a minute her or there. They also press eigthy-eight seconds on the microwave instead of ninety- because it’s a faster input.”
“What Malcom Gladwell superbly and neatly popularized as tipping points, or the inflection point of the so-called S-curve of adoption, we have named “the point of idiocy”. This is the point when a growing number of poeple feel like idiots if they have to fess up to not owning _________ (fill-in-the-blank) technology.”
