Delete “Form Abandonment rate” in your dictionary

I’ve written about Site abandonment and Form abandonment before. There are different ways to lower form abandonment rates, but today I found a great technical solution that everybody should integrate:

The “Really Easy Field Validation script”:

The “Really Easy Field validation” script validates fields on the fly and doesn’t need the click on the button in order to validate the field. Just imagine your users filling out a long form and they miss the “@” symbol in the “Email address” field or have a small typo in the “Password confirmation” field. With this script, human errors will be caught immediately. Additionally no more scrolling and no more searching for the problematic form field! The script not only catches errors, but also highlights fields (in green) when they are filled out correctly. What a relief!
